Chef’s Notes: SmithCale was invited out on a “man-day” adventure which included shooting lots of guns, bowfishing and solving the world’s problems. So, since it was just me, I decided to have my favorite food: a sandwich!
Plan of Attack:
1. Preheat oven; prep kale
2. Bake kale and make panini
Ingredients for 1:
2 slices rye bread
2 oz herbed brie
1 oz red onion
1 oz deli turkey
Olive oil cooking spray
1 bunch kale, washed and trimmed
½ Tbsp olive oil
Sea salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Make the Kale Chips
2. Heat Panini-maker to Hi
3. Layer rye, brie cheese, turkey, red onion and top with other rye slice
4. Spray both sides of Panini-maker with cooking spray, cook sandwich until either the light turns green or about 3-4 minutes
5. Enjoy!
